Alterations to Apartment

In accordance with the Lease (sub paragraph 6 of the Fourth Schedule), a leaseholder must not make any alterations or additions to the apartment or to its external appearance apart from non-structural alterations, provided such proposed alterations have the prior written approval of the RTM Company. 

For example, refurbishment of the bathroom or kitchen area provided it is similar in layout to the existing installation.

It should be noted that in accordance with the Lease (sub paragraph (a) of the First Schedule), the external surface of the front door to the apartment does not come within the boundary of the apartment, so must not be altered in any way. This includes door furniture and additions to the frame or door.
